Privacy at Glucene:
encrypted for you, seen only by you.

The short version

What we collect

How your data is protected

Encrypted at rest. Your glucose readings and any CGM-connection credentials are stored encrypted. They are decrypted only in memory, only to serve a request you make while signed in, and only ever your own data.

Encrypted in transit. All communication between your devices and Glucene uses HTTPS/TLS.

Your password. Passwords are never stored in readable form — only as a salted hash — so no one, including us, can recover them.

On your devices. Access tokens are kept in the device keychain, and data shared with widgets and complications stays in Glucene's private, on-device app group container.

How your data is used

We use your data solely to provide Glucene: to display your glucose across your devices, compute your statistics (time in range, GMI, averages, and so on), power your moments and logs, and deliver the features you turn on. That's it.

What we never do

Sharing — only when you ask

Glucene only shares your readings with people you explicitly invite (for example, a family member or caregiver you add as a follower). You can revoke that access at any time, and no data leaves your account otherwise.

Retention

High-resolution readings are retained for a rolling window (about 90 days) to power your charts; beyond that we keep only compact daily summaries for long-range statistics. When you delete data or your account, the associated records are removed.

Your choices

Children

Glucene is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Accounts for minors should be created and managed by a parent or guardian.

Changes

If we update this statement, we'll revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
